Chennai Water Cut Alert: Supply Disrupted in Several Areas Due To Metro Work - Check Affected Areas

Residents of Chennai living in Teynampet, Kodambakkam, Valasaravakkam, Alandur, and Adyar, along with those in Pozhichalur and Cowl Bazaar of the Pallavaram Municipality, are set to face a significant water supply interruption.

This disruption is scheduled from 9 PM on January 22, 2024, to 9 PM on January 24, 2024, to facilitate the interconnection of drinking water pipelines by the Chennai Metro Rail Limited on Paul Wells Road in Alandur.

The Chennai Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (CMWSSB) is urging residents in the affected zones to prepare for the water cut by storing water beforehand. They are also suggesting that residents could utilize their online service to book water tankers if needed. For any additional support, the CMWSSB has provided a helpline number, 044-45674567, assuring that despite the disruption, the street water supply will remain operational in these areas.

Chennai Power Cut On January 22

Over 25 locations in Tamil Nadu will be hit by power supply on Wednesday, January 22. Parts of Koyamvedu and Kumananchavadi will be hit by power cuts.

The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation is carrying out maintenance work between 9 am 2 pm.
