Chennai Rains Disrupt Normal Life: School Closed In Puducherry, Other Districts Till Dec 4

Persistent rainfall has disrupted daily life in various parts of Tamil Nadu, leading to waterlogging and significant disruptions, including traffic congestion. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an orange alert for Chennai and neighboring districts on December 2 and 3. Reports indicate that schools in Puducherry and Karaikal districts will remain closed on December 4, 2023, owing to an impending cyclone warning.

Notably, this holiday applies solely to schools in these districts, and there's no update regarding closures in other regions of Tamil Nadu due to the heavy downpour. Meanwhile, as Cyclone Michaung develops over the Bay of Bengal, temperatures are expected to rise again in Mumbai, its suburbs, and various southern states.
