Chennai Police Nab Malayalam Bigg Boss Star Shiyas Kareem Amidst Sexual Assault Allegations

Shiyas Kareem, a well-known reality show star and model, has been arrested at Chennai Airport on Thursday morning in connection with a rape and cheating case filed against him in Kerala, as reported by state police.

Kareem, who had a lookout notice issued by the Kerala police, was taken into custody by airport security personnel upon his arrival from Dubai earlier today.

Upon receiving this information, a team of officials will depart for Chennai to effect his arrest, as confirmed by local law enforcement.

The case revolves around allegations of rape and cheating, filed by a female trainer who had been employed at Kareem's gymnasium in Kochi, by the Chandera police. "We will soon head to Chennai to apprehend him, and his arrest will be officially documented once he is in our custody," a police officer informed news agency PTI.

The complainant, a 32-year-old resident of Kasaragod, has accused Kareem of repeatedly sexually assaulting her since 2021. She further claimed that he owes her Rs 11 lakh, which he borrowed from her over time. The woman alleged that Kareem, who owns a gymnasium in Kochi, had promised to make her a business partner and had sought financial contributions. She also alleged multiple instances of physical assault.
