Chennai-Nagercoil Vande Bharat Express: Check Timings, Ticket Price, Timings, Stoppages

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the Chennai Egmore-Nagercoil Vande Bharat Express on Saturday. This highly anticipated train service will connect Chennai to Nagercoil, covering a distance of 724 kilometres in under nine hours.

Train Timings

The Vande Bharat Express will depart from Chennai Egmore at 5:00 AM and arrive in Nagercoil at 1:50 PM. The return journey will see the train leaving Nagercoil at 2:20 PM and reaching Chennai Egmore at 11:00 PM.

The train will make stops at several key stations, including Tambaram, Tiruchy, Dindigul, Madurai, Kovilpatti, and Tirunelveli, before reaching its final destination.

The train, which will have 16 coaches, is the latest addition to the Vande Bharat services, which are already operational from Chennai to Mysuru, Bengaluru, Coimbatore, and Tirunelveli. It will operate six days a week, with services suspended on Wednesdays for maintenance.

For travelers looking to journey from Chennai to Nagercoil, the fare for a chair car class ticket is expected to be between Rs 1,650 and Rs 1,700, offering a quick and comfortable travel option for passengers.
