In a nail biting rescue, a toddler was prevented from falling to their death when residents of a housing society in Chennai noticed that the child had inadvertently strayed to the edge of a roof covered by a plastic sheet, placing them perilously close to the brink.

Thanks to the alertness and courage of the society members, the toddler was rescued from this precarious situation. A video capturing the incident and the ensuing rescue operation has surfaced on the social media platform X.

The toddler's life was saved by the quick thinking and bravery of neighbors, who formed a human pyramid to reach the child dangling from a roof's edge. The child was safely caught by a member at the top of the pyramid, eliciting jubilation from onlookers as the child was rescued from the brink of danger.

The toddler emerged unharmed from the ordeal, and the courageous residents of the apartment, whose swift action saved the child's life, were gratefully acknowledged by the relieved parents.

While the video was scary, the X users reacted to the video with mixed emotions. Some have praised the heroic gesture and some have criticised the high-rise buildings safety measures.
