Lawyer Brutally Attacked In Tamil Nadu's Hosur; Accused Surrenders

In a shocking incident, a lawyer was attacked in Hosur in Tamil Nadu on Wednesday. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital and undergoing treatment.

Some unconfirmed reports claim that he died at the hospital. However, it is yet to be announced officially.

The victim is identified as Kannan aged 30, as per the reports in the Tamil Media. A video footage of the incident has gone viral on social media.

Kannan was working as a junior advocate with Sathya Narayanan.

The reports in the Tamil media claim that he had issues with 39-year-old Anandakumar, who hacked Kannan in broad daylight. However, the accused has reportedly surrendered before the cops.

The cops have seized the weapon used to attack the lawyer and cordoned off the area.

Criticising the DMK government, Tamil Nadu BJP Chief K Annamalai said, "A teacher was murdered in the classroom today in Tanjore & here is an advocate being brutally attacked in broad daylight in Hosur. These reflect the disastrous law & order situation in TN under the DMK Govt.

Thiru @mkstalin should be ashamed of turning TN into a lawless jungle. If this Govt put little effort into fixing issues rather than diverting them, we would not see such lawlessness."

In a similar incident, a 26-year-old teacher was killed on the campus of Mallipattanam Government School in Tamil Nadu's Thanjavur district allegedly after rejecting a marriage proposal from the suspect.

The victim, Ramani, was attacked by 30-year-old Madhan on the school premises earlier today. Madhan reportedly inflicted deep cuts on her neck during the assault. Despite efforts to rush her to a hospital, she succumbed to her injuries on the way.

The cops have arrested the accused and revealed that the personal motive led him to murder her.
