BJP chief Amit Shah in Chennai

Chennai, Nov 7: BJP president Amit Shah arrived in the early hours on Friday, airport officials said.

The 50-year-old leader is scheduled to visit a private eye hospital here, party sources said.

The visit is strictly private and there was no party programmes lined up for Shah, they said.

The itinerary of his one-day visit has not been disclosed, they added.

This is the first time the close aide of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is visiting Tamil Nadu after becoming the president of the BJP in July this year.
