BJP Candidate Annamalai Discloses 26 Legal Cases Ahead Of Coimbatore Lok Sabha Elections
BJP candidate for the Coimbatore Lok Sabha seat, Annamalai, has disclosed that he is currently facing 26 legal cases. The Lok Sabha elections in Tamil Nadu are scheduled for April 19, with the nomination process having started on March 20 and concluded recently. Annamalai submitted his nomination for the Coimbatore constituency, alongside an affidavit detailing his property and the cases against him.
Out of the 26 cases, 24 are related to various police stations across Tamil Nadu, including Ambur Kawal, Bommidi, Gandhi Market, and several others in districts like Tirupattur, Dharmapuri, Trichy, Chennai, Karur, Theni, Dindigul, and Coimbatore. Additionally, two cases have been filed in Salem and Chennai Saidapet courts. Annamalai has also noted that charges have not been registered against him in these cases yet.

Annamalai has declared movable assets worth Rs 36,41,00 and immovable assets valued at Rs 1 crore 12 lakh. His wife Akhila possesses movable assets amounting to Rs 2 crore 3 lakh 12 thousand 77 and immovable assets worth Rs 53 lakh. The couple owns a Honda City car from 2017 valued at Rs 5 lakh. Interestingly, Annamalai does not own any shops, commercial buildings, or residential properties outside of this and is free from any debt.

As for income sources, Annamalai has listed his roles as a director of a private company, along with agriculture and cattle farming. At the time of filing his nomination, he reported owning about 51 acres of land with an estimated value of Rs 1 crore 12 lakh. This land is described as ancestral property. His wife Akhila's immovable property is valued at Rs 53 lakh. In total, the Annamalai family's assets are estimated to be worth around Rs 3 crore 3 lakhs.
