After Refusing To React To Vijay's Digs At DMK, Udhayanidhi Stalin Sends Wishes To Ajith
Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin has sent his best wishes to actor Ajith Kumar on his participation in the 24H Dubai 2025 and European 24H series championship even as he has refused to comment on actor Vijay's potshots at the DMK.
Udhayanidhi has also mentioned Ajith for extending his support to Formula 4 Chennai street circuit held earlier in the state. In a post on X, he said, "Best wishes to actor and friend Ajith kumar Sir as he competes in the prestigious 24H Dubai 2025 and the European 24H Series Championship in the Porsche 992 GT3 Cup class."

"We're happy that the Sports Development Authority of Tamil Nadu's logo will be proudly displayed on the car and equipment of the 'Ajith Kumar Racing,' taking Tamil Nadu to the global stage. On behalf of the Tamil Nadu Sports, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ajith Sir for encouraging us with this inspiring gesture.," he added, thanking the actor "for supporting and acknowledging various initiatives, including the Formula 4 Chennai Street Circuit and the schemes implemented by 'our' Dravidian Model Government under the guidance of our Honourable Chief Minister Thiru. M. K. Stalin Avl."
"Together, let's elevate Tamil Nadu's sporting spirit to new heights. All the best for your upcoming racing tournament, Sir," the Tamil Nadu Deputy CM said.
On the other hand, Vijay had taken potshots at the DMK over corruption at his party's public conference Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK). Without taking the names, the actor announced that he is against the BJP and the DMK. "Just by taking a stand itself, it would have been known to everybody who our opponents are. During the announcement of our party, when we said 'all are born equal' (a line from Tamil classic Tirukkural), people would have identified who our real opponents are. But, we are not only fighting against the divisive politics alone, but also against the corrupt forces,"
However, Udhayanidhi had wished him well ahead of the TVK event. Speaking to reporters, Udhayanidhi said, "Vijay is my long-time friend. I know him from my childhood. In fact, I produced my first movie with him. I wish him well for his new party."
On asking whether Vijay will be a challenger to the DMK, Udhayanidhi stated that many parties were founded in the last 75 years and some disappeared. "Anyone can start a new party. All it requires is service to people," he added.
