Actress Rekha Nair Car Accident: Chennai Man Killed In Jafferkhanpet

A 55-year-old man tragically lost his life after being struck by a car belonging to popular serial actress Rekha Nair. The incident occurred in the Annai Satya Nagar area of Jafferkhanpet on Tuesday night.

The victim, identified as Manjan, was reportedly lying on the road when a car, allegedly driven by Rekha Nair's driver, ran over his chest. The car did not stop after the incident, and neighbors rushed to assist the injured man. Despite their efforts to transport him to KK Nagar Government Hospital and later to Rayapetta Government Hospital, Manjan was declared dead upon arrival.

Following the incident, Kindi traffic police launched an investigation and reviewed CCTV footage from the area. The footage revealed the number plate of the car involved, which was traced back to Rekha Nair, a well-known actress who has appeared in serials such as 'Nayakar,' 'Vamsam,' 'Pagal Nilavu,' 'Andal Azhagar,' 'Nam Iruvar Nadu Iruvar,' and 'Bala Ganapathy.'

The police arrested a man named Pandi from MGR Nagar, Chennai, who was identified as the driver of Rekha Nair's car at the time of the accident. However, it remains unclear whether Rekha Nair was in the vehicle during the incident. The police are continuing their investigation to determine the full details surrounding the tragic event.

Manjan's body has been kept at the Rayapetta Government Hospital for a post-mortem examination, as the authorities seek to bring clarity and justice to the case.
