Actor Marimuthu's Last Video Moments Before Death Goes Viral

As Tamil Nadu is reeling under the shock due to the untimely death of actor Marimuthu, his final video before his death has surfaced on social media sites.

The Tamil actor-director, who was last seen in Rajinikanth's hit film 'Jailer', died on Friday after suffering a cardiac arrest. "Director and actor G Marimuthu passed away this morning due to cardiac arrest in a private hospital," Nadigar Sangam (South Indian Artists Association) said in a social media post.

He reportedly fell uneasy while dubbing for a Tamil TV serial and was rushed to a hospital. Now, a video has hit the internet where he is seen walking towards his car while talking over the phone has surfaced online.

The actor then takes the car and reportedly leaves for the dubbing studio where he suffered cardiac arrest.

Meanwhile, his last rites were performed around 10.30 am on Saturday. Before that, his mortal remains were kept at his residence in Chennai for the members of the film fraternity, family, and friends to pay their tributes to the actor.

Was He Under Financial Stress?

A native of Pasumalai, Theni district, the actor was under financial pressure which led to his cardiac arrest, DT Next reported citing sources.

Sources told the website: "He is building a house in the outskirts of the city and was in need of funds to complete it. Apart from this, he was shooting for several projects without a break. These could have been the reason behind the sudden demise."

The actor had worked in over 50 movies apart from directing two films-'Kannum Kannum' and 'Pulivaal'. Before making his directorial debut, he worked as assistant director to Mani Ratnam, Vasanth, S J Suryah and Seeman.

His notable performance as an actor includes 'Vaali', 'Jeeva' and 'Pariyerum Perumal'.

Currently, he was working in the television serial 'Ethirneechal'.
