A Day Before his Movie 'Maharaja' Release, Actor Pradeep K Vijayan Found Dead At His Residence

A day before the release of his movie 'Maharaja' release, actor Pradeep Vijayan was found dead at his Palavakkam home on June 12.

Concerned after failing to reach him for two days, a friend alerted the police, who discovered his body. The deceased has been sent to a government hospital for a postmortem, and the cause of death is under investigation.

Going by the reports in the Tamil media, the actor recently complained of shortness of breath and dizziness. Unable to reach Pradeep despite numerous calls, a concerned friend decided to check on him. When there was no response to repeated knocks, the friend contacted the police.

The Neelankarai police and the fire department broke open the doors and discovered Pradeep deceased, with an apparent head injury. His body was transported to Royapettah Government Hospital.

Preliminary investigation suggests Pradeep may have succumbed to a head injury and a suspected heart attack two days prior. However, the Neelankarai police are actively probing the circumstances surrounding his demise, awaiting the results of the postmortem examination.

Pradeep's career in acting started in 2013 film 'Sonna Puriyathu', directed by Krishnan Jayaraj.Since then, he worked in many movies including Janani-starrer 'Theigidi' and 'Hey Sinamika'.

His last known appearance was in S Kathiresan's 'Rudhran', starring Raghava Lawrence. Pradeep also played a supporting role in Vijay Sethupathi's 'Maharaja', scheduled for release in theaters on June 14.
