Business tycoon Lalit Khaitan joined the list of billionaires in India on Thursday published by Forbes. The 80-year-old is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Delhi-based Radico Khaitan, a liquor company. According to the reports, Radico Khaitan has a $380 million revenue and is a key player in the Indian Liquor market.

Rampur Whisky, 8 PM Whisky, Magic Moments Vodka, Contessa Rum, and Old Admiral Brandy are a few signature products of the liquor brand. The company saw a 50 percent surge in its shares this year, which propelled Radico Khaitan to touch $1 billion net worth.

The company was established in 1943 as Rampur Distillery and Chemical Company and is one of the oldest and largest manufacturers of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL). The company was acquired by Lalit's late father, G.N. Khaitan in 1970 and later Lalit Khaitan took charge and renamed the company to Radico Khaitan.

Currently, Lalit's son Abhishek Khaitan is heading the company.
