Gold, Silver Rates Today: Prices Dip In Early Trade; Check City-Wise Rates

The price of 24-carat gold dropped by Rs 10 in early trading on Monday, with ten grams of the precious metal being priced at Rs 86,060, according to GoodReturns.

Meanwhile, silver prices also fell, dropping Rs 100, with 1kg of silver being sold for Rs 1,00,400.

The cost of 22-carat gold decreased by Rs 10 as well, with ten grams of the yellow metal priced at Rs 78,890.

In Mumbai, the price of ten grams of 24-carat gold matched that in Kolkata, Chennai, and Hyderabad, at Rs 86,060. In Delhi, however, the price of ten grams of 24-carat gold was slightly higher at Rs 86,210.

In Mumbai, the price of ten grams of 22-carat gold was in line with Kolkata, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad at Rs 78,890. Meanwhile, in Delhi, the price of 22-carat gold stood at Rs 79,040.

The price of one kilogram of silver in Delhi was the same as in Bengaluru, Kolkata, and Mumbai, at Rs 1,00,400, while in Chennai, it was slightly higher at Rs 1,07,900.

In the US, gold prices edged higher on Monday after a more than 1 per cent drop in the previous session, as market participants awaited further details on US President Donald Trump's reciprocal tariff plans, which could escalate global trade tensions.

Spot gold increased by 0.1 per cent to $2,885.95 per ounce as of 0016 GMT, following a record high of $2,942.70 on February 11.

In other precious metals, spot silver fell by 0.2 per cent to $32.08 an ounce, after reaching its highest level since October 31, 2024, driven by factors that pushed gold to successive record highs. Some analysts suggested that investors in silver may be aiming for a 10-year high.

Platinum rose by 0.3 per cent to $982.55, while palladium gained 1.3 per cent to $974.08.
