Zero-Commission Cab Services By Namma Yatri Start Rolling In Bengaluru
Autorickshaw aggregator Namma Yatri has initiated a pilot project for cab services in Bengaluru this week. The zero-commission ride-hailing app is expected to formally introduce cab services on its platform early next week, likely on Tuesday. The beta launch of cab services commenced a few days ago, with the option to hail a taxi directly visible on the app's home page, gaining traction gradually.
"We are testing the system's stability and assessing the demand. Many people have started using it, which is understandable, given the existing customer demand," as reported by DH.

The cab fares will adhere to the 'zero-commission' model, similar to how auto-rickshaw rides are priced on Namma Yatri, distinguishing the app from other ride aggregators in its launch phase. This move will likely pose a challenge to established cab aggregator giants in the city.
Namma Yatri's cab service offers three categories of taxis: Eco, comprising non-AC hatchbacks; Comfy, consisting of AC sedan cars; and AC SUV rides. The current pricing for Namma Yatri's cabs is approximately Rs 10 to Rs 13 lower compared to fares of another popular ride-hailing service.
