Yuva Nidhi Scheme Karnataka: Registration Delayed, Launch Likely In January

Karnataka's Yuva Nidhi scheme, one of the five major promises by the state Congress government, has seen its launch schedule revised. Initially set for December 21st by Medical Education and Skill Development Minister Sharana Prakash Patil, registration for the scheme will not begin as planned.

During the winter session in Belagavi's Suvarna Vidhana Soudha, Minister Patil announced the Yuva Nidhi Guarantee Scheme, aiming for a January launch. However, the latest update indicates that the registration process is now expected to start in the last week of December, with a potential for further delay.

Yuva Nidhi Scheme:

• Application submission will be through the 'Seva Sindhu' portal (link pending).
• Self-declaration of unemployment status is sufficient but falsifying information is discouraged.
• Unemployment benefits will be extended to freshers after completing a degree/diploma if they remain jobless for at least 6 months.
• The scheme is limited to a 2-year duration for each beneficiary. If employment is secured within this period, the scheme's benefits will cease.
• Upon gaining employment, individuals must declare it, stop receiving allowances, and failure to do so might incur penalties.

Exclusions from the scheme:

• Individuals pursuing higher education.
• Apprentices receiving wages.
• Government/Private jobholders.
• Those involved in self-employment through government schemes or availing bank loans.

How to apply for the Youth Fund:

Necessary documents:

Voter ID Card, Ration Card, Aadhaar Card, clear bank account details, and complete KYC.
Mandatory submission of graduation and diploma mark sheets and certificates from 2023 (within six months of completing education).

Eligible candidates are encouraged to apply through the 'Seva Sindhu' portal, though this has not been officially confirmed.
