'Winning Karnataka elections is out of question for Congress': Annamalai
IPS officer-turned-politician K Annamalai on Sunday claimed that a victory for Congress in the upcoming Karnataka Assembly Elections is out of the question.

"Winning Karnatakia election is out of the question for Congress, whatever they are doing, they are doing to satisfy their ego. BJP workers are in full excitement and are very clear, we are aiming for a full majority and our mission is to bring BJP in power for good governance," Tamil Nadu BJP state president Annamalai told ANI.
"This time PM Modi is aiming for 'Mission Dakshin', especially 'Mission Karnataka' for 2023 with 130 plus seats. People of Karnataka want majority government this time," the BJP leader added.
Karnataka is the only South Indian State, where the BJP has formed the government several times and has a BJP Chief Minister.
The saffron party is also in power Puducherry but with an alliance. However, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, continue to be the biggest challenge for the party.
The BJP is eyeing to make inroads in these four south Indian states in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha elections to be held in 2024.
Interestingly, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry together send 130 MPs to the Lok Sabha.
Out of 130 seats, only 29 seats are with the BJP. The saffron party has got 25 seats from Karnataka and four from Telengana. The BJP zero representation from the states like Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Puducherry.
Single phase elections will be held in Karnataka on May 10 and the BJP is leaving no stone unturned to form the government in the state with absolute majority on its own. The BJP is targeting 150 seats in Karnataka.
In 2018 elections, The BJP won 104 seats but the Congress and the JDS entered into an alliance and formed a coalition government in the state.
