Will Darshan s Friend Pavithra Gowda Get Bail In Renuka Swamy Murder Case

On Tuesday, the High Court is set to hear the bail applications of Darshan, Pavithra Gowda, and four other co-accused-Nagaraj, Laxman, Anukumar, and Jagdish. Advocate CV Nagesh is representing Darshan, while senior advocate Tommy Sebastian stands in for Pavithra Gowda. Special Public Prosecutor Prasanna Kumar is opposing their bail requests, heightening the intensity of the legal battle.

Meanwhile, a picture of Darshan claiming to be taken from hospital is doing rounds on social media site. However, Oneindia could not verify the authenticity of the picture.

The Bengaluru police have submitted a supplementary charge sheet that adds another 1,300 pages to the original 3,991-page document filed earlier this year. This updated charge sheet includes eight photographs retrieved from a witness's mobile phone, allegedly depicting Darshan and his associates at the crime scene.

Although the images were initially deleted, investigators managed to recover them, which strengthens the evidence against the actor. The charge sheet also features DNA reports and forensic findings from labs in Bengaluru and Hyderabad.

Darshan, Pavithra Gowda, and 15 others are accused of involvement in the murder of Renuka Swamy. As per the chargesheet, the victim was allegedly kidnapped by Darshan's associates due to his lewd messages directed at Gowda. Following the abduction, he was taken to Bengaluru, confined in a shed in Kamakshi Palya, and subjected to a brutal assault, ultimately leading to his death. Darshan and Pavithra were arrested by Bengaluru police on June 11.

In a parallel development, actor Darshan, who is currently out on bail on medical grounds, has decided to proceed with a long-delayed surgery. Initially hesitant due to concerns over the surgery's outcome and fears of post-operative pain, Darshan had postponed the procedure multiple times, citing fluctuations in his blood pressure.
