Will Darshan Be Released Before Diwali? High Court Agrees to Hear Bail Plea On October 22

Sandalwood actor Darshan Thoogudeepa, who has been anxiously awaiting bail, finally received some good news. The Karnataka High Court has agreed to fast-track the hearing of his bail plea, taking into consideration his health condition. The hearing is scheduled for October 22, raising speculation that the actor may be released in time for Diwali.

Darshan's legal team had approached the High Court after the Sessions Court rejected his initial bail plea in connection with the Renukashwamy murder case. His lawyers argued that the investigation is already complete, and no further inquiry is needed. Additionally, they cited the actor's serious health issues, particularly severe back pain, as a reason for granting bail.

Darshan has reportedly been suffering from intense back pain, with swelling detected in his L1 and L5 vertebrae. While jail authorities had arranged treatment at Ballari Government Hospital, Darshan refused, insisting that he should be treated at Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru. He remains firm in his decision to undergo treatment only after being granted bail.

Doctors have advised him to undergo scans and potentially surgery, but Darshan has delayed these treatments. For the time being, he has been provided with medical support, including a special bed, pillow, and chair. Neurologists and orthopedists have also recommended that he undergo physiotherapy, which he received on Friday at VIMS Hospital.

The High Court, recognizing the seriousness of his condition, has agreed to expedite the bail plea hearing. Darshan's legal team is confident that he will soon be granted bail, given his current medical situation.

Fans of the actor are eagerly waiting for updates, as this decision could mean that Darshan might walk free just in time for Diwali celebrations.
