Why Rameshwaram Cafe Attracts Everyone—From Neta to Abhineta

If there's one place in Bengaluru where you're likely to spot a Union Minister and a movie star enjoying the same plate of crispy dosas-it's the Rameshwaram Cafe. Known for its delicious South Indian fare, especially buttery dosas and rich filter coffee, this cafe has become a cultural and culinary landmark.

Recently, Union Minister Jyotiraditya M. Scindia visited Rameshwaram Cafe during his Bengaluru tour and couldn't resist sharing his delightful experience on social media. From politicians and entrepreneurs to celebrities and tourists, the cafe has drawn people from all walks of life.

Why Rameshwaram Cafe Attracts Everyone From Neta to Abhineta

Rameshwaram Cafe's widespread appeal lies largely in its food-simple, authentic, and packed with flavor. The cafe's signature ghee podi dosa, with its crispy texture and spicy molagapodi chutney, draws massive crowds daily.

Their traditional filter coffee, served in a steel tumbler, is a sensory delight made with high-quality beans.

From soft idlis and flavorful rava idlis to steaming hot bisi bele bath, mini meals, and tamarind rice, the menu is a celebration of South Indian comfort food.

The cafe offers a focused menu of about six core dishes like idli, dosa, and khara bath, prepared with high-quality ingredients and traditional flavors. This simplicity allows the chefs to maintain exceptional quality and consistency across all outlets, ensuring that the taste and experience remain the same whether you visit the JP Nagar or Indiranagar branch.

Rameshwaram Cafe is known for delivering the exact same portion, taste, and quality every day of the year. This consistency, combined with hygienic practices and efficient service, makes it a reliable choice for all kinds of patrons-whether locals, tourists, politicians, or film stars.

A Business That's Booming

But what really sets Rameshwaram Cafe apart is not just its food-it's the staggering business numbers behind it. According to Udaan co-founder Sujeet Kumar, the cafe clocks nearly 7,500 bills a day in a space as small as 10x10 feet. That adds up to nearly ₹4.5 crore in monthly revenue-almost ₹50 crore annually-with gross margins soaring around 70%.

This isn't just a restaurant-it's a case study in how passion, quality, and business acumen can come together to create a successful, scalable model.

The Secret? Consistency

Started in 2021 by Raghavendra Rao and Divya Raghavendra Rao, Rameshwaram Cafe quickly carved out a niche in Bengaluru's competitive food space. In an interview with JAR's YouTube channel, Divya revealed that their top priority has always been quality and consistency.

Whether it's the sambar recipe, the hygiene practices, or the staff training-every detail is strictly regulated. That discipline has helped them open multiple branches across Bengaluru-Indiranagar, JP Nagar, Brookefield, Rajajinagar-and one in Madhapur, Hyderabad.

A Social Media Darling

Much of Rameshwaram Cafe's growth is also powered by word of mouth and social media buzz. Its inviting interiors, plated food shots, and cheerful staff videos have gone viral countless times. Influencers and vloggers routinely review the cafe, often calling it a "must-visit" spot for anyone in Bengaluru.

The cafe offers a modern South Indian experience-balancing tradition and contemporary aesthetics-which resonates with young urban crowds and nostalgic elders alike.

More Than Just Food

Scindia's Bengaluru visit also included a tour of ITI Limited, but what made headlines was his stop at Rameshwaram Cafe. This shows how the cafe has become not just a food destination but also a symbol of Bengaluru's evolving urban culture-where tradition meets innovation.

As India rises as a tech and cultural powerhouse, Rameshwaram Cafe is a great example of how homegrown brands can scale while staying rooted.
