Who Is Spandana Vijay Raghavendra?

Spandana Vijay Raghavendra, the beloved wife of renowned Kannada actor Vijaya Raghavendra, tragically passed away in Bangkok due to a heart attack.

She is the daughter of retired ACP BK Shivaram. BK Shivaram is a well-known police officer in Karnataka. He is known for his work in the crime investigation department. He is also the author of several books on crime and policing.

Spandana, born in Bangalore on January 1, 1995 and the daughter of the esteemed former police officer BK Shivaram, got married to actor Vijay Raghavendra in 2007. In addition to her marriage, she displayed her talent in the film industry, notably appearing in the 2016 movie "Apoorva" alongside Ravichandran.

In addition to her acting career, she has also worked as a producer for some of Vijay Raghavendra's films.

She studied at Stella Maris College in Bengaluru and MES College in Kerala. Spandana was a talented actress and dancer. She had a bright future ahead of her. She was the niece of senior Congress leader BK Hariprasad.

Spandana's brother, Rakshith Shivaram, is a lawyer who recently participated in the Karnataka Assembly elections as a Congress candidate. She had campaigned for her brother, Rakshit Shivaram, in Belthangady during the Assembly elections in April. Rakshit unsuccessfully contested on a Congress ticket from Belthangady.

Spandana and Vijay Raghavendra met at Cafe Coffee Day in Malleswaram in 2003. They fell in love and got married on August 26, 2007. They had a son together and were planning to celebrate their 16th wedding anniversary this year.

Currently, the actor's family and friends are making arrangements to bring her body back to Bangalore, where her last rites will be conducted.

Vijaya Raghavendra is currently in Bengaluru and was supposed to participate in the promotion of the movie "Kadda," set to release on August 25.

Spandana's father has already left for Bangkok. Her mortal remains are expected to be repatriated to India on Tuesday.

Vijay's cousin and celebrated Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar had also succumbed to a heart attack on October 29, 2021. The family is going through another painful loss, and their friends and well-wishers are extending their heartfelt condolences.
