Who Is Renuka Swamy? The Man Allegedly Murdered By Darshan And His Aides

After the arrest of 10 individuals, including Sandalwood actor Darshan, in connection with the Renuka Swamy murder case, actress Pavithra Gowda has also been taken into custody by the police. Pavitra Gowda has had a close association with actor Darshan for some time, often appearing together at various events. Their friendship has been a topic of discussion.

The case revolves around Renuka Swamy, a resident of Chitradurga, who was sending messages, obscene photos, and videos to Pavitra Gowda on social media. A fan of Darshan was aware of this situation. Later, a group gathered, brought Renuka Swamy to Bangalore, assaulted him, and disposed of his body in a culvert.

A security guard of an apartment reported to the police that the body was being dragged by dogs. Four persons have been detained and interrogated in connection with the case. Initially, the accused cited other motives, but later confessed to committing the murder on Darshan's instructions.

So, who is Renuka Swamy?

• The 33-year-old Renuka Swamy, the victim, was a resident of Chitradurga's Lakshmi Venkateswara Barangay and worked in a medical shop.
• He was the son of retired BESCOM employee Shivanagowda-Ratnaprabha and was known to be a fan of Darshan.
• Renuka Swamy married last year on June 28,2023, and his wife is currently three months pregnant. He was also associated with the Bajrang Dal, having been identified as a key member of Bajrang Dal Suraksha three years ago.
• Renuka Swamy's actions were reportedly fueled by his anger towards Pavitra, whom he believed had caused a rift between Vijayalakshmi and Darshan's marriage. This led him to send obscene messages to Pavitra.
