Where Is Vipin Gupta? Bengaluru Woman Fears Husband In Danger After Mysterious Disappearance

A Bengaluru woman has taken to Facebook in a desperate plea for help to find her husband, Vipin Gupta, who went missing on August 4. Despite filing an FIR, she claims the police have made little progress. Gupta's bike Kawasaki green colour Ninja bike was found at the Motherhood Hospital parking lot in Hebbal, yet no CCTV footage has been reviewed so far.

In a heart-wrenching video, she revealed that ₹1.8 lakh was withdrawn from Vipin's account just 25 minutes after his disappearance. His phone, registered under the number 97********4, has been switched off since 2 PM on the day he went missing.

The woman faced additional challenges as she tried to get the police to take her case seriously. Initially, the police refused to register her complaint, only filing the FIR (No. 0302/2024) on August 6 after she repeatedly appealed to them. Frustrated by the lack of progress, she tried reaching out to higher authorities. "I called the ACP and sent a message to the DCP on WhatsApp, but no action was taken," she recounted. During a meeting with DCP Sanjeet VJ North East at Amrutahalli station on August 9, she claimed he shouted at her when she voiced her concerns about the police's inaction.

The case was initially directed to Inspector Lakshmipathi at Kodigehalli station, but he was on leave from August 10 to 16. It has now been handed over to Inspector Sunil R., who is expected to review CCTV footage.

The woman is deeply worried about her husband's safety and is appealing to the public and the police for urgent help. "Please help me; I beg you," she implored. She mentioned that they had planned their younger baby's annaprasadam on August 8, and she is certain her husband would never leave them voluntarily.

Living in Bengaluru with her two daughters, aged five months and fourteen years, she is convinced that Vipin is in danger, especially given the large withdrawal from his account after his disappearance. "I'm 100 per cent sure he's in danger," she said. "He loves his daughters deeply and would never abandon them."

She continues to follow up with the police daily but has seen little progress beyond obtaining the CD-R location of her husband's phone as of August 8. She remains hopeful that sharing her story on social media will hasten efforts to locate Vipin Gupta.

Reacting to her social media post, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) North East Division, Bengaluru, Sajeeth VJ, said that a case has been registered and the investigation is being done on priority basis.
