Kannada Actor Darshan and his girlfriend Pavithra Gowda, who are being questioned at the Annapurneswari Nagar police station in connection with the murder of Renuka Swamy in Chitradurga, are likely to be transferred to Parappana Agrahara jail today (June 15). According to the information received so far, Darshan has repeatedly told the police that he was at Stonny Brook restaurant in Rajarajeshwari Nagar when Renuka Swamy arrived in Bengaluru from Chitradurga, and claimed that his intention was not to kill him.

Darshan reportedly told police that he was at the restaurant when Renuka Swamy arrived, and that Pawan was also present. He claimed that Renuka Swamy told him that he was brought to Bengaluru by Pawan, and that he had no prior knowledge of the victim's presence. Darshan also alleged that Renuka Swamy asked for forgiveness and that he slapped him twice before giving him money for lunch and asking him to return to his hometown.

''I went straight home from there and later went to the shed. My intention was not to kill him. I told him to apologise. When I and Pavitra Gowda went to shed, Renukaswamy asked what was wrong. Then I slapped him twice. I gave him money for lunch and told him to eat and go back to his hometown. After that, I left from there, but these people have conspired and are now accusing me," Darshan repeatedly told the police that this was all he knew.

However, investigators believe that Darshan may have been involved in a larger conspiracy. The police have discovered that the Scorpio car used to transport the victim Renukaswamy's body had a mark that matched Darshan's photo, which was later removed by the accused. The car's photo was captured on traffic violation records.

His hands and feet were tied, and he was attacked with multiple batons. The police have seized the clothes and shoes worn by the accused during the crime, which are expected to be sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for further analysis.
