'What Am I Without Modiji?' Pratap Simha Amid Rumours Of Missing Out Mysuru Ticket To Yaduveer

Amid rumours of Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha missing out on a ticket this time from the BJP to contest in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls, the journalist-turned-politician has said that his existence in politics is because of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Reports in the Kannada media claim that Pratap Simha is being replaced by the scion of the erstwhile Mysuru royal family Yaduveer Wadiyar.

Simha has shared the two pictures of him with the Prime Minister. In a post on X, he said, "Dear karyakarthas & well wishers, wht am I without beloved PM @narendramodi ji? See these 2 photos and understand. I owe my political existence to Modi ji. I humbly request all of you to not protest. We all belong to one family, let's work for Modi ji. @AgrawalRMD."

Earlier, speaking to media, Simha expressed confidence in getting a ticket for the third time. He said, "I have stood for karyakartas. I have stood for the Hindutva cause and done a lot of development works. I am the only person who has challenged the Congress and Siddaramaiah in this region. So, I don't know why I will be denied the ticket. In spite of all these works, if the party overlooks my candidature, I will still ensure to work for the party's victory in this region."

A few months ago, Pratap Simha had hit national headlines following a major security breach in the Parliament. Two persons who jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber had got passes from his office.

Apart from Simha, former Karnataka Chief Nalin Kumar Kateel (Dakshina Kannada) and Ananthkumar Hegde (Uttara Kannada) are unlikely to get tickets. Shobha Karandlage might be shifted from the Udupi-Chikkamagaluru constituency to Bengaluru North.

The BJP is set to release its second list today. The names of the Karnataka, Andhra, Maharashtra and Haryana are likely to be part of this list.
