Watch: Road submerged in rainwater in Karnataka’s Koppal

Bengaluru, Oct 12: Along with parts of the country, the heavy spell of rainfall is creating havoc in Karnataka also. The heavy rain washed away a road in the Koppal district on Tuesday.

As the road washed away, people faced difficulties. The video shared by ANI shows that the road was in a waterlogged condition and it submerged in rainwater.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Tuesday said, "Heavy rainfall spell likely to continue over Tamilnadu & Rayalaseema during next 5 days and over Interior Karnataka during next 2 days."

Bengaluru to receive heavy rainfall today

Meanwhile, Bengaluru is set to see heavy rainfall on Wednesday. The IMD issued a yellow alert for Bengaluru urban and Bangaluru rural districts, including Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Uttara Kannada, Belagavi, Bidar, Dharwad, Gadag, Haveri, Kalaburagi, Raichur, Yadgir, Ballari, Chamarajanagara, Chikkamagaluru, Chitradurga, Davanagere, Hassan, Kodagu and Shivamogga.
