in Gujarat. Bharti, who is contesting this year's Lok Sabha election from Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh, described Modi as the

(the man of destruction). She said Modi has neither helped the cause of Hindutva nor development and it is not right to call him a

(man of development).

"All the claims about GDP and development in Gujarat are false and the state is indebted in last five years," she said, adding that both Hindus and Muslims were living a life of fear. She said all the tall talks about BPL and APL are all eyewash. "I have never seen this Gujarat," she said in the video. She also took a dig at senior BJP leader Arun Jaitley, known to close to Modi, asking why didn't he take up the issue of the innocent who were falsely accused in various cases.

Bharti also blamed the media for the hype on Modi's story and asked it to deflate the balloon.

The saffron leader courted controversy a few days ago when she said that Modi isn't a good orator like former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and that people went to his rallies mainly to show their support for him. [Read here]
