Video Of Gang War On Udupi-Manipal NH Goes Viral, Two Arrested

The Udupi Town Police have arrested two individuals, identified as Ashiq and Raqib from the 'Garuda' gang of Kapu, following a violent clash involving youths from Kapu on the Udupi-Manipal National Highway. The incident, which occurred on May 18, was recorded on video for 1-minute, 30-second video and has since been widely circulated on social media, sparking concern and discussion.

According to reports, the clash escalated into a gang war between the two men on May 18, leading to the Udupi Police registering a case on May 20. The police have stated that the other members of the gang involved in the altercation are currently on the run.

During the altercation, which involved the use of two cars and motorbikes, as well as a sword and a dagger, the police intervened and confiscated the weapons. The Udupi Town Police are continuing their investigation into the matter.

The arrested individuals have been remanded in judicial custody until June 1. A case has been registered at the Udupi Town Police Station, and further investigations are ongoing.
