Vande Bharat stands out as one of India's most favored and comfortable trains, enhancing the already pleasant rail travel experience. Introduced in 2019, the Vande Bharat Express Train, an AC Chair Car service, links various cities across the nation. In a recent development, the schedule for the Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat has been revised, effective until March 27, 2024. Previously, the Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express operated six days a week; however, it will now run daily until the end of March. Here are the latest details:

The Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express, which traverses via Bengaluru, has undergone a schedule adjustment. Formerly operating six days a week, excluding Wednesdays, the train's schedule has now been expanded to operate every day of the week until March 27, 2024. This modification will come into effect starting Wednesday, February 7, 2024.

According to a statement issued by the South Western Railway, Train Number 06037 from Dr MGR Chennai Central to Mysuru Vande Bharat Express and Train Number 06038 from Mysuru to Dr MGR Chennai Central Vande Bharat Express will now run daily.

Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express Timings and Details

Covering a distance of 500 kilometers, the Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat Express completes its journey in 6 hours and 25 minutes. Train Number 06037 departs from Chennai at 5:50 AM and arrives in Mysuru at 12:20 PM, with stoppages at Katpadi and KSR Bengaluru.

Train Number 06038, the Mysuru-Chennai Vande Bharat Express, commences its journey from Mysuru at 1:05 PM and reaches Chennai at 7:20 PM, stopping at KSR Bengaluru and Katpadi. This train, inaugurated in 2019 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, marked South India's first Vande Bharat Express.

Noteworthy for its consistent full occupancy, the train has garnered considerable success. RN Singh, Managing Director of South Western Railways (SWR), mentioned plans for introducing semi-high-speed trains on the Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysuru route, running at speeds of 200 kilometers per hour. Discussions are underway to integrate this high-speed line into the railway network.

The schedule adjustment for the Chennai-Mysuru Vande Bharat has been well-received by travelers, marking a positive change for all.
