V Balakrishnan to OneIndia: No reason to justify the B'lore fundraiser
Bangalore, Mar 14: Before addressing the Jana Sabha, AAP's Bangalore Central candidate for the Lok Sabha election, V Balakrishnan spoke to OneIndia and said that though the Bangalore fundraiser was criticised, there was no reason to justify the event. "It is an open and transparent way of raising money for the party. It is the right thing to do."
He said all the good people who agree with the cause will be at the fundraiser. "It will be more of aam aadmi. There will be doctors, engineers, architects too," he said.
On asking how would the AAP perform in Karnataka and all over the country, a confident Balakrishnan said: "You will know on May 16."
Balakrishnan on fundaraiser: It is the right thing to do
Addressing the reporters here he said that the journey from Infosys to AAP was a big change for him. "In a corporate world you have a definite number of stakeholders, in politics everybody you see can be a stakeholder," he said.
He added that the response to the AAP was also very good but 'the party has to reach out to the people.' "The hardwork starts from now. Clean governance is the starting point," he said.
