A journey that once took the better part of a day will be condensed into a mere 120 minutes. The seamless connection between Chennai and Bengaluru is not just about reducing travel time rather it is about bridging communities, fostering growth, and propelling progress.

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on Thursday expressed confidence that the Bengaluru-Chennai Expressway and the surrounding ring road will be fully completed by December 2024. He shared this optimism while inaugurating the foundation stone laying ceremony for 18 national highway projects spanning 300 km and valued at Rs 6,200 crore.

These projects cover seven districts: Shivamogga, Ballari, Chitradurga, Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Udupi, and Dakshina Kannada. Additionally, he also inaugurated 296.92 km of national highway projects at Nehru Stadium. The event was jointly organized by the National Highways Authority of India, Public Works Department, and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
