Terror Nexus In Bengaluru Blast: Rameshwaram Cafe Accused Linked To ISIS Ballari, LeT Or PFI?

Bengaluru was rocked by a devastating explosion at Rameshwaram Cafe, shedding light on the presence of various terrorist modules operating in the region. The attack, which occurred on March 01, has been attributed to different terrorist groups, each with its own modus operandi and origins.

The ISIS Ballari module, believed to be behind the attack, has connections to Afghanistan, Iran, and Iraq, receiving orders through the darkweb. Comprised mainly of tech-savvy individuals, the group is said to have a significant presence in Kerala. The NIA had recently uncovered the module's plans for IED blasts in several cities, including Bengaluru.

Another module involved is the Lashkar-e-Taiba's module, originally from Kashmir and led by terrorist Abdul Karim Tunda, known as the "Doctor of Bomb." Interestingly, Tunda was acquitted in a terrorist blast case in Rajasthan just a day before the Bengaluru attack. The NIA had also thwarted a suicide attack planned by the Lashkar module in Bengaluru in 2023.
