Telangana ruckus: What foreign media said on Parliament's dark day

Bangalore, Feb 14: The Indian democracy witnessed one of its darkest days on Thursday when an ugly spat took place in both the Houses of the Parliament over the introduction of the bill for the creation of a separate state of Telangana by bifurcating Andhra Pradesh. One MP used pepper spray in the Lok Sabha, while another allegedly brandished a knife at fellow members. Another MP collapsed in the House after allegedly consuming something and was rushed to the hospital. Reports said that some MPs opposed to the creation of Telangana were even carrying cyanide to commit suicide.
