T2 Terminal At Bengaluru Airport To Commence International Operations From Sept 12
Bengaluru International Airport Limited (BIAL) has officially announced the resumption of operations at Terminal 2 of Kempegowda International Airport starting from 10:45 am on September 12.

"After thorough assessment and careful consideration of multiple factors, including regulatory adherence, operational effectiveness, and passenger comfort, we have made the decision to resume operations at Terminal 2 starting from 10:45 am on September 12. Our priority is to ensure a seamless transition for our passengers, and we are taking all necessary measures to facilitate a smooth relocation of international operations to the new facility in close collaboration with our airline partners. We value your continuous support and understanding," stated a representative from BIAL.
Furthermore, the airport has provided contact details for customer support. "If you require assistance, please reach out to our customer engagement center at +91-8884998888 (WhatsApp only) or call 080-22012001/080-66785555," the announcement stated.
According to reports, the sudden last-minute delay left international airline operators red-faced. Singapore Airlines flight SQ 508 was slated to land at T2 on Thursday morning, marking the start of international operations from the new 5 billion rupee terminal.
IndiGo also holds the distinction of being the initial Indian carrier to initiate international operations at T2, marked by its flight 6E1167 to Colombo.
BIAL's statement assures arriving passengers at T2 of seamless transfers and streamlined procedures for immigration and customs. Additionally, an extended access route called the 'Terminal Boulevard,' stretching over 4.4 kilometers, was introduced earlier this year to enhance connectivity to T2. This road connects both departures and arrivals sections of T2, offering a smooth drive devoid of traffic signals. Complimentary shuttle services are also available at regular intervals between T1 and T2 for passenger convenience.
Situated to the east of Terminal 1, T2 spans an expansive area of 255,661 square meters and is equipped to cater to 25 million passengers annually.
