Stray dog menace in Bengaluru: Minor girl hospitalised 50 wounds
Bengaluru, May 20: A minor girl in Bengaluru has become latest victim of stray dog menace in the city. She sustained injuries after stray dogs attacked her.
The victim identified as Ramaiya admitted to a hospital with more than 50 dog bites on her body.
Ramaiya was attacked by stray dogs when she was playing outside her house on May 20. Her condition is stable now, confirmed doctor treating her.
BBMP announce to foot the bill of Ramaiya's treatment. It also announced to carry a dog catching drive on Friday and Saturday.
BBMP joint Director (animal husbandry) Maheshwar Gowda said his staff visited the spot and rounded up the dogs, and will check them for rabies.
In June last year, Bangalore Municipal Corporation announced to pay compensation to dog bite victims. BMC announced to pay Rs2,000 per puncture wound to victim.
A 6-year old girl admitted to a Hospital in Bengaluru with more than 50 dog bites, her condition is stable.
