SHIKSHA: An effort to bridge the gap between education standards
Bangalore, Nov 12: The Acharya iCare Group, which works in collaboration with many rural government schools across Bangalore, is working to bridge the gap between the urban-modern standard education system with that of the rural-government ones through flagship events like 'SHIKSHA - Education for the less fortunate'.
The group makes effort to impart quality education, fun teaching, practical games & cbasic omputer education through voluntary teaching. The iCare team also provides basic stuff like stationary such as books.
"It's very sad to know that many government facilities & schemes are not being implemented in the grass root levels such as rural schools. On the other hand, it's good to see the kids in those schools to be very active, intelligent, enthusiastic and very eager towards learning. If this potential is effectively utilised, we can go a long way", said Manohar, a member of the iCare, Deptartment of CSE, AIT.
