Obscene Videos Case: Gave Pen Drive Only To BJP, Says Prajwal Revanna's Driver

Karthik Gowda, a former driver for the Revanna family, refuted claims on Tuesday that he shared a pen drive containing videos purportedly showing sexual acts by suspended Janata Dal (Secular) leader Prajwal Revanna with the Congress. He clarified that he had only given the videos to Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Devaraje Gowda.

Speaking from an undisclosed location, Karthik addressed the video leak case. In a video statement, he explained that he approached Devaraje Gowda seeking justice for women allegedly abused by Prajwal Revanna, the grandson of JD(S) president and former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda. Karthik stated that the Revanna family had forced him to transfer ownership of a parcel of land to them.

"I worked as a car driver for Prajwal Revanna and his family for fifteen years. I left my job for a year. They illegally took my land and harassed my wife, which led me to leave their house. At that time, Devaraje Gowda was in conflict with the Revanna family. I turned to Devaraje Gowda as I couldn't find justice elsewhere. Prajwal Revanna filed a stay against me, prohibiting the release of any obscene videos and demanding that I hand over any videos or photos I possessed. Devaraje Gowda had asked me not to show the videos to anyone. Trusting him, I gave him a copy of the videos I had. He claimed he didn't know if it would be used for personal gain," Karthik explained.

"I gave the video only to Devaraje Gowda. I did not share it with anyone else, including Congress members. I gave it to Devaraje Gowda because I did not trust the Congress. I don't know who shared the pen drive. They are accusing me unjustly. Why would I have approached Devaraje Gowda if I intended to give it to Congress members? I will testify before the SIT today and reveal everything. I will disclose all details to the media later," Karthik said.

"Let the SIT disclose everything. No one other than Deve Gowda received a copy. I will appear before the SIT today and provide a comprehensive explanation. I witnessed the events in Revanna's house. I will testify everything before the SIT. I urge anyone who has been wronged to come forward with courage," he added.
