Security Scare: These Bengaluru Schools Receive Bomb Threat

In a concerning turn of events, a series of schools across Bengaluru received alarming bomb threats via email. Police sources confirmed that more than 44 schools situated in Basaveshwara Nagar, Sadashiva Nagar, and other areas within the city had received these threats.

The schools were reportedly targeted with these threats via email, prompting immediate action from authorities. Police forces, including bomb detection and disposal squads, swiftly mobilised to investigate the veracity of these threats and ensure the safety of the school premises.

    Upon learning of the situation, concerned parents hurried to the schools to collect their children.

    Bengaluru Police Commissioner B Dayananda assured the public that bomb detection and disposal teams had been promptly dispatched to the affected schools, urging everyone to remain calm.

    "We are currently scrutinizing the emails," Commissioner Dayananda informed reporters. "It is highly likely that these threats are false alarms. Our officers are on-site at the schools."

    Following the incident, Neev Academy in Sadashivanagar, one of the schools targeted, informed parents that the institution would be closed for the day due to "security threats from unidentified sources."

    Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar paid a visit to Neev Academy, situated near his residence, expressing his belief that the threats seemed to be unfounded hoaxes.
