The Kodagu District Collector has ordered the closure of Anganwadi, primary, high schools, and even Pre-University colleges in the district due to ongoing heavy rains.

Udupi District
Similarly, in Udupi, after several days of consistent rainfall and a Yellow Alert issued by the Meteorological Department, the district administration has declared a holiday on July 17 for all Anganwadi, government, aided, and private primary and high school students.
However, no holiday has been announced for Pre-University, Degree, Postgraduate, Diploma, Engineering, and ITI institutions in Udupi.
