Rs 5,000 crore mining scam:Janardhan Reddy's aide Suresh Babu arrested
Bangalore, Sept 19: Former Karnataka minister Gali Janardhan Reddy's close aide -- Suresh Babu has been arrested on Thursday, Sept 19. The investigative agency -- Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested Suresh in connection with illegal mining scam which had rocked Karnataka two years back.
Suresh, Kampli MLA, earlier was arrested in 2012 in connection with "cash-for-bail" scam case involving the mining baron Janardhan Reddy. The mining baron, who was arrested in 2011, has been lodged in Chanchalguda Jail in Hyderabad in connection with the illegal mining scam which is worth Rs 5,000 crore.
