Rs 18.2 L Tata Nexon Delivered With Defects: Customer Exposes Prerana Motors In Viral Rant

A recent Instagram reel has gone viral, exposing a customer's ordeal while trying to purchase a new NEXON Facelift from Prerana Motors, a Tata Motors dealer in Yelahanka, Bengaluru.

The incident involves Sharath Kumar T., who claims the dealership attempted to sell him a defective NEXON Facelift without proper Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) or Quality Control (QC). Sharath alleges that the vehicle was registered in his name despite the identified defects.

In his emotional Instagram post, Sharath recounts his shattered dreams and the hardship faced by his family, especially his four-month-old twin daughters, who were forced to travel in autos and cabs for vaccinations due to the lack of a reliable vehicle. The caption accompanying the video details the disheartening sequence of events that unfolded during his attempt to take delivery of a NEXON FACELIFT Automatic Petrol Fearless Plus, priced at 18.2 Lakhs.

"Dreams of my family shattered when I went to take delivery of NEXON FACELIFT Automatic Petrol Fearless Plus worth 18.2 Lakhs from probably the Worst Dealer of TATA MOTORS i.e PRERANA MOTORS, Yelahanka, as they tried to sell me a Defective NEXON Facelift vehicle without doing PDI or any QC. They registered the vehicle in my name," reads the caption.

He expresses his disappointment with the lack of resolution from both Prerana Motors and Tata Motors. Despite highlighting the issue for a month, Sharath claims neither party has offered a replacement vehicle or a full refund.

Instead, he alleges they are trying to convince him to accept the repaired vehicle with a 2-year extended warranty. This solution falls short of his expectations, as he feels it undermines the seriousness of the issue and the inconvenience he has faced.

Sharath concludes his post by urging people to share his story to raise awareness about the importance of PDI and QC before making payments for new vehicles.

The Instagram video went viral on social media and gained immense traction, prompting a response from the official Tata Nexon handle. They urged Kumar to share his email address for further assistance.

"Hi @shras007, we deeply regret the inconvenience caused. Kindly send us your email ID via DM, enabling our team to provide prompt assistance," their message read.

However, Kumar remained unconvinced by their response, hinting at potential legal action.

"Despite ongoing discussions with Prerana's CEO, Prithvi, and Tata Karnataka's Zonal Manager, Mohammed Ahmed, I find the proposed solution unsatisfactory. We may pursue legal recourse instead," he conveyed.
