Retired DGP Om Prakash Murder Case: Wife Pallavi Arrested by HSR Layout Police

The murder case of retired Director General of Police Om Prakash (DG and IG Om Prakash) has created a major stir in Karnataka. Now, his wife, Pallavi, has been arrested by the HSR Layout police in connection with the case. Om Prakash was murdered on Monday at his residence in the city's HSR Layout-he was stabbed to death.

The case was initially registered after a complaint was filed by Om Prakash's son. At first, no arrests were made, though both his wife and daughter were taken into custody for questioning. Following preliminary inquiries, his wife Pallavi has now been officially arrested.

The HSR Layout police have recorded statements from Pallavi, her daughter Kriti, her son Karthikesh, as well as other family members and relatives. In the course of the investigation, they also seized three mobile phones. During her initial interrogation, Pallavi reportedly confessed to Madiwala ACP Vasudev that she committed the murder in self-defense.

Pallavi Reveals Shocking Details

Pallavi has disclosed chilling details about the murder. According to her statement, they first threw chili powder at Om Prakash, then poured cooking oil on him to restrict his movements. His hands and feet were tied before he was repeatedly stabbed with a knife. Om Prakash sustained 8 to 10 stab wounds-primarily in the chest, stomach, and hands. He was stabbed 4 to 5 times in the abdominal region, leading to his death.

Victim Lay in a Pool of Blood for 15-20 Minutes

Om Prakash, who was brutally assaulted, bled profusely and lay in a pool of blood for 15 to 20 minutes. Shockingly, his wife Pallavi reportedly stood by, watching him groan in pain as he collapsed to the ground. She waited until he breathed his last. Only after his death did she call the HSR Layout police station to report the incident.

Om Prakash was murdered in cold blood at his residence in HSR Layout, Bengaluru. Initially, suspicion fell on his wife. Once news broke that the former head of the state police force had been killed, senior officials-including the Bengaluru City Police Commissioner-rushed to the crime scene.
