'Reckless And Risky': Viral Video Shows Bengaluru Minors Performing Scooter Stunt

In India, a disturbing surge in reckless driving and dangerous road stunts, often performed to create social media reels, has raised significant road safety concerns. These actions jeopardize the safety of motorists, pedestrians, and spectators alike. A recent incident in Bengaluru's Banashankari 2nd Stage has brought the issue into sharp focus after a video of two young individuals, including a minor, performing a hazardous scooter stunt went viral on social media.

The video, shared by the handle @karnatakaportf, shows the duo attempting a sit-down wheelie in the middle of traffic. Despite warnings from the individual recording the footage, the stunt performers ignored the risks and continued their dangerous act.

The clip, captioned on X (formerly Twitter), stated: A young child was seen doing a wheelie on the road, creating a serious hazard for themselves and those nearby. The incident occurred around 8:22 PM in Banashankari 2nd Stage, close to Monotype, involving a vehicle with the registration number KA01 V 5613. This kind of reckless behavior on public roads is extremely dangerous and can result in accidents. It's crucial for parents and guardians to prevent children from engaging in such unsafe activities in public spaces.

The unsettling video sparked outrage online, with many criticiSing the blatant disregard for traffic laws. Bengaluru Traffic Police responded by tagging Banashankari Traffic Police to investigate the matter further. Social media users demanded strict action, including heavy fines and vehicle seizure, to deter such behavior.

One user on X remarked, "@blrcitytraffic please seize the vehicle and penalize his parents so severely that the child gets a lesson from them daily." Another added, "Kindly take action against these individuals as they are posing a threat to pedestrians and fellow riders! If possible, seize the vehicle and revoke their driving license."
