The franchise also issued a message to supporters following the title win, stating that the victory belongs to the fans and encouraging them to celebrate responsibly. RCB emphasised that while the achievement was a moment of pride for the entire fanbase, safety would remain the top priority during any celebrations.

The decision comes in the backdrop of the tragic stampede outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in June 2025 during celebrations following RCB's maiden IPL title. Thousands of fans had gathered to welcome the team, but the festivities turned tragic after a crowd crush claimed multiple lives and left several others injured. The incident triggered widespread criticism over crowd management and public safety arrangements, leading to greater scrutiny of large-scale celebrations in Bengaluru.

With memories of the tragedy still fresh, authorities have adopted a cautious approach. Bengaluru City Police have already urged supporters to celebrate responsibly and avoid overcrowding in public spaces.

While fans may not get an opportunity to welcome the players in person, RCB's on-field achievement has given them plenty to celebrate. The Bengaluru franchise produced a dominant performance in the IPL 2026 final, defeating Gujarat Titans by five wickets. Chasing a target of 156, RCB reached the total in just 18 overs to successfully defend their title.
