Royal Challengers Bengaluru are set for a packed build-up to IPL Season 19, with Bengaluru confirmed as a key centre for IPL 2026. M. Chinnaswamy Stadium will stage the Unbox event, five RCB home matches, the opening ceremony, playoffs and the final.

The Unbox event, which usually signals the start of RCB’s campaign, is planned for either 20 March or 22 March at Chinnaswamy Stadium. The franchise wants fans involved early as preparations step up for the new IPL season in 2026.

According to Karnataka State Cricket Association President Venkatesh Prasad, the Unbox event will definitely take place at Chinnaswamy Stadium. The function forms part of the official build-up to IPL Season 19, with the venue again central to major league activities.

RCB players start reaching Bengaluru from 15 March, before the Unbox event and main tournament. Training sessions will be held at Chinnaswamy Stadium, allowing the squad to adjust to conditions early. These practices also help staff prepare logistics for home fixtures and ceremonies.

Earlier, RCB examined playing home fixtures in another state because of venue concerns. However, the franchise confirmed recently that five home matches will stay in Bengaluru, with two additional games allotted to Raipur. Work at both centres has begun as tournament planning progresses.
