RS MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar endorses Narendra Modi as PM

Bangalore, March 27: Independent Rajya Sabha MP from Karnataka Rajeev Chandrasekhar on Thursday endorsed BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi as the country's next prime minster. The 49-year-old MP said the upcoming Lok Sabha elections are the most important in the history of independent India for these will decide who would take on the big challenges that the country is facing today.

"I have interacted with Rahul Gandhi, Narendra Modi and Arvind Kejriwal - The three most likely PM candidates and have evaluated them in as rational a manner as possible, given the challenges that are facing our nation. I am choosing to support Narendra Modi for the PM. I strongly believe that he has the necessary ability, determination and commitment to Governance, development and opportunities for all citizens - regardless of religion, caste and gender," Chandrasekhar said.

Chandrasekhar said he found the necessary qualities in Modi to lead the nation

He also said that there is no fence-sitting in this election and one needs to move from "despair to hope, from corruption to good governance, from shame to pride!"
