At a press meet, the former Karnataka Chief Minister said that the JDS candidate will win the Hassan seat by a good margin. He also questioned the intention behind creating such an issue just two days before the polling. "Who released the videos? What were they doing all these time? I have first-hand information that our candidate will win Hassan," he said.

How Can I Keep Track Of Anyone's Movements?

On asking how Prajwal escaped from the country, HD Kumaraswamy asked, "How can you keep track of anyone's movements? Will they inform me before going out? Let the government take the action as per the law of the land."

We Don't Live Together

HD Kumaraswamy said that his family and Revanna's family live separately. "We don't stay together. We meet during the political meetings," he added.

Why Dragging Gowda Family Over The Incident?

HD Kumaraswamy wondered why the name of the Gowda family is being dragged over an individual's incident. "Such incidents have occurred in other parties as well, but why are we being targeted? How are we responsible for the incident? If the said videos or the issue had come to our notice before, we would have taken action. Even now, we are saying guilty should be punished. So, why there is a protest? I don't understand," he said.

Prajwal To Be Suspended

Prajwal is the BJP-JD(S) alliance candidate for the Lok Sabha election from Hassan constituency, which went to the polls on Friday. However, he will be suspended from the party.

"A decision was already made. Tomorrow it is to be recommended at the core committee meeting in Hubballi. Because he (Prajwal) is a Member of Parliament, it has to be done from Delhi. So I had requested Deve Gowda (JD(S) National President and former PM). Neither he (Gowda) nor I were aware of this issue," Kumaraswamy claimed.

Reacting to Congress leaders trying to target BJP and PM Modi on the issue, Kumaraswamy said, "Did Modi come for Prajwal Revanna's campaigning? What does Modi have to do with this case?
