Prajwal Revanna Sex Scandal Is A False Case, Claims A Woman Complainant

A big twist has been reported in Karnataka's alleged sex scandal case that has been the talk of the town amidst the crucial Lok Sabha Election 2024. According to the reports, one of the complainants has claimed that she was forced to file a false complaint, the National Commission for Women (NCW) said. The woman added that she was harassed and threatened.

Taking a cue from the Women Commission's statement, former Karnataka CM and JDS state unit chief HD Kumaraswamy lashed out at the opposition and investigating agencies for threatening the victims and forcing them to give false statements against JD S Leader Prajwal Revanna.

Kumaraswamy said that the SIT officers are threatening the victims stating if they don't give statements against JDS MP, then prostitution charges will be leveled against them.

"The investigating officers are going to the doorsteps of the victims and threatening them. Tell us, isn't it a fact that the SIT officers are threatening the victims with false prostitution cases against them? Is this how the probe is being conducted," HD Kumaraswamy said while hitting out at the state-ruling Congress.

"Where have you kept the rescued woman who was kidnapped? Why is she not being produced before the court? Do you support the act of distribution of private videos of the victims," Kumaraswamy asked State Minister Krishna Byre Gowda who has been targeting JDS over the issue which is still under the judiciary.

Hassan MP Prajwal Revanna made the headlines after it was claimed that he forcefully sexually assaulted nearly 3000 women and filmed them. Revanna's domestic help also complained about Prajwal and his father HD Revanna for stalking and assaulting her.

However, the Janata Dal-Secular has made it clear that they are not going to defend anybody and believe in the country's law and order.

"Everyone should respect the law and the guilty should be punished. H.D. Deve Gowda has four sons and two daughters. We have our own businesses and families. I had gone to Hassan only at the time of the Assembly elections," Kumaraswamy said.
