Additionally, power interruptions are expected in Chandani Chowk, Miller Bank Bund Road, Janmabhavan Road, Sultanjigunta Road and Haynes Road. Neighbouring localities like Bambubazar and Dhanakoti Lane will face similar issues. Other affected areas include Neharupuram, Muthyalamma Koil Street and Makan Compound Road.

Further disruptions will occur in N.P. Street, Septings Road, Broad Shaw Street and Palace Walkies. Evening Bazaar and New Market Road are also on the list of areas to experience outages. O.P.H. Road and R.No.2nd Street along with Jain Temple Road will not be spared either.

Additional Affected Areas

BESCOM has also indicated that Bidarahalli and Pottery Town will face power supply issues. Cox Town and MEG Centre are included in the list of affected areas. Kensington Road and its surrounding regions will similarly experience disruptions.

In another update unrelated to the power cuts, the Centre has clarified there is no plan to grant "metro city" status to Bengaluru. Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Choudhary mentioned that this decision aligns with the government's policy of rationalising taxation rates and moving away from exemptions and deductions.

The planned maintenance work is essential for ensuring the reliability of the power supply system in Bengaluru. Residents are advised to make necessary arrangements during this period to minimise inconvenience caused by the outage.
