Power Cut In Bengaluru On Monday (Aug 7): Check Affected Areas
A few areas in Bengaluru will be hit by a power supply on Monday as the electricity department will be carrying out maintenance works.
The Bengaluru Electricity Supply Company Ltd (BESCOM) and the Karnataka Power Transmission Corporation Limited (KPTCL) have announced that people will experience a power shutdown between 9 am to 4 pm.

Here are the affected areas:
Leela Venture, Rustam Bagh Layout, Kodi Halli, Manipal Hospital, Golden Tower, James Residency, Golden Enclave, Titan Kavensas, Wipri and surrounding areas will not have power between 9 am to 4 pm, the BESCOM said in a statement.
However, the supply may also resume before 4 pm if the maintenance work is completed early.
The BESCOM has also announced that several areas in Koratagere in Tumakkuru will experience power shutdown between 5 and 6 pm.
The areas area: Tumbadi, Vaddagere, Hulikunte, Hanchihalli, Yelirampura, Nilagundanahalli, Theeta, Agrahara, and Bukkapatana.
Meanwhile, the Karnataka government on Saturday formally launched 'Gruha Jyothi' scheme, one of the five poll guarantees of the Congress party, which promises to provide up to 200 units of free power to households in the state.
"We had promised to provide up to 200 units of free power. There are 2.14 crore consumers eligible under Gruha Jyothi, and 1.42 crore households have registered. The scheme has come into effect on July 1, as the bill for July electricity consumption will come in the beginning of August, it is being formally launched today," Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said.
The benefit under the 'Gruha Jyothi' scheme is calculated based on average consumption for the financial year 2022-23, plus 10 per cent additional, but total amounting to less than 200 units.
